Annemarie Appleton, At a Glance
Annemarie Appleton was inspired by members of her family to chart her current career path and carry on a tradition of excellence that was forged by former generations, as her family has long stood among leaders in the manufacturing industry. She graduated from DePaul R.C. Regional High School andn went on to attend Passaic County Community College, where she earned an Associate Applied Science Degree in Accounting. She later attended the Juran Institute Total Quality Management Seminar, an ASQC Sec 0304 Certified Quality Auditing course, and an ASM Elements of Metallurgy course, and acquired the understanding that she needed to experience continued growth in her field. She has attended several seminars and studied in a myriad of industry-related sessions over the course of her career. She attended the ASM Principles of Machining Course, the Skillpath Total Quality Management Seminar, Teledyne Radiation Safety Training session, X-MET 880 Operator Training Program, and an NiDI Seminar on "Corrosion in the Chemical Process Industry: Applications of Nickel Containing Alloys." She later became an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor 3.0 CEU, an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor 4.0 CEU, and an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer 6.5 CEU.
Prior to working for Appleton Quality Concepts Inc., Ms. Appleton established herself as an industry leader by fulfilling numerous roles with Knickerbocker Machine Shop Inc./Alloy Stainless Products Co. Inc. (ASP/KMS). From 1981 to the present, Ms. Appleton has been able to break new grounds in manufacturing with the company. Additionally, Ms. Appleton is BPV under the ASME and has credentials and certifications in ASQ combined with the business experience of over 30 years in manufacturing as well as 20 years working on industry standards, writing industry standards and specifications and as Chair of subcommittee and subgroups that are writing them. She has both project and program management experience.
